PRFCT Cancer Risk Assessment & Genetic Testing
What to Expect from Genetic Screening
Genetic testing results are carefully reviewed and explained by qualified healthcare professionals. A positive result indicates an increased risk, not a diagnosis, while a negative result does not eliminate all cancer risk. The goal is clarity, not alarm.
Based on results, patients may receive guidance on appropriate screening intervals, preventive strategies, or referrals for further evaluation when indicated.
Cancer Risk Assessment & Myriad MyRisk® Hereditary Cancer Test
Offered through PRFCT’s HER Wellness Clinic, this physician-led appointment includes a comprehensive evaluation of personal and family medical history to determine whether genetic testing is appropriate.
For eligible patients, the Myriad MyRisk® hereditary cancer test is a simple blood test performed in-office. This advanced screening evaluates multiple genes associated with hereditary cancer risk and provides clinically actionable insights.
Results Timeline
Genetic test results are typically available within a few weeks. Follow-up consultations focus on interpretation, education, and next steps, ensuring patients feel informed and supported throughout the process.
