The PRFCT Process
In-Depth Consultation
We assess skin tone, vessel pattern, medical history, and candidacy. You receive clear prep and aftercare instructions.
Comfort And Precision
Cooling and technique help maintain comfort. Settings are adjusted to the vessel’s size, depth, and your skin type.
Treatment Day
Pulses of light trace the vessel path. Small facial veins may take minutes; leg sessions vary by coverage.
Early Changes
Temporary redness or swelling is common. Facial veins often look darker before they fade. Leg veins may resemble a “cat-scratch” mark as they resolve.
Results And Rhythm
Facial veins typically settle in 3 to 6 weeks; leg veins often need 8 to 12 weeks to show full change. Many clients need 1 to 2 sessions.
Pre + Post Treatment Instructions
Before Your Appointment:
- Discontinue elective blood-thinning supplements for 7 days when safe to do so, fish oil, flaxseed oil, vitamin E, ginkgo, ibuprofen/Motrin/Aleve, and red wine. Do not stop any prescribed medication without your physician’s guidance.
- If you take aspirin electively, you may stop 48 hours prior if not prescribed.
- If treating legs, bring shorts for comfort and purchase Class II, 30–40 mmHg compression stockings to wear for 1 week after treatment.
- Avoid tanning beds and self-tanners for 3 weeks and minimize sun exposure.
- Tell your provider if you are prone to cold sores; a preventative prescription may be recommended.
- Expect that 1–2 sessions may be needed.
After Your Treatment:
- Do not exercise for 3 days after treatment.
- Avoid alcohol, aspirin, Advil, and other blood thinners for 5 days unless prescribed.
- Avoid hot showers or baths, hot tubs, and saunas for 5 days.
- Avoid sun exposure and wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ for 1 month on treated areas.
- Use cold compresses to reduce redness and swelling; do not apply ice directly to skin.
- Gently cleanse the area twice daily with tepid water and mild cleanser.
- If leg veins were treated, wear Class II, 30–40 mmHg compression stockings as much as possible for 1 week.
