What Is Radiesse® & How It Differs From Fillers

Radiesse® is a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA)–based injectable that works through a dual-action mechanism. The gel carrier provides immediate volume and structural support at the time of injection. Over the following weeks, the CaHA microspheres stimulate your body’s natural collagen production, helping improve firmness and contour as the gel is gradually absorbed.

Traditional hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers primarily provide instant volume by attracting water. What to Expect

Custom consultation

We assess your goals, such as definition, lift, or skin quality, and map precise placement and vial count.

Topical comfort prep

A topical anesthetic and, when appropriate, a lidocaine containing product are used so treatment is designed to feel comfortable.

Physician-led injection

Radiesse® is placed with needle or cannula to support cheeks, jawline, chin, or hands. Technique prioritizes safety and symmetry.

Immediate refinement

You will see contour right away. Expect temporary swelling or tenderness. Most clients resume normal activity the same day.

Results and rhythm

Collagen stimulation develops gradually over weeks. Results often last up to a year or more, depending on area, dose, and biology. Your provider will outline a maintenance cadence.

Pre + Post Care Instructions

Before Your Treatment

  • Seven days prior, minimize alcohol and non prescribed blood thinning agents when possible, and consult your provider regarding medications.
  • Reschedule if you have an active infection, cold sore, or significant skin irritation.

After Your Treatment

  • Expect mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising. Use cold compresses as advised.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, heat exposure, or facial massage for twenty four hours unless instructed otherwise.
  • Sleep with your head elevated the first night if treated in the face.
  • Follow your personalized maintenance plan for collagen support.
