Pre & Post Care Instructions

To ensure the best results and reduce the risk of complications:

Before Your Appointment:

  • Arrive 45 minutes early for topical numbing. Contact our office if you cannot.
  • Discontinue NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Aleve), Vitamin E, Ginkgo, and other anti-inflammatory supplements for 7 days prior.
  • Avoid facial fillers within the past 2 weeks and Botox within the past 5 days.
  • Refrain from waxing, IPL, electrolysis, and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks prior.
  • Notify us if you have a history of cold sores. Pre-treatment antiviral medication may be recommended.

After Your Treatment:

  • Do not apply water or skincare products for the first 6 hours.
  • Avoid sunburn, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for 2 weeks.
  • Use the post-treatment product lineup provided by our office. Avoid harsh exfoliants or fragranced skincare.
  • Redness and sensitivity are normal for 1 to 2 days, with mild peeling around days 3 to 4.
  • Avoid sun exposure for 7 days. Use a physical SPF and wide-brim hat if outdoors.
  • No sweaty workouts for 24 hours.
  • Avoid makeup for the first 24 hours.
  • Do not schedule injectables within 5 days of the treatment.
  • Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands or unclean phones and masks.
