Dr. Zoe's Notes on How to Use

Morning

  • Start with Cleanse to remove oil, sweat and overnight buildup without stripping the skin.
  • On dry skin, use a single Advanced X6 pad and cover the entire face, applying the product evenly. Give the pad a squeeze if it is overly soaked. AX6 should be used ONCE per day only.
  • Apply a thin layer of The One Serum. It can be used twice a day to provide deep hydration along with anti-inflammatory and gentle resurfacing benefits.
  • Follow with C Glow for daytime antioxidant defense, then finish with Dew Moisturizer.
  • Always finish with a daily broad-spectrum sunscreen. This is not optional with a pigment-focused routine. We love Colorescience which has tinted and non-tinted options.

Evening

  • Wash with Active Cleanse, then sweep on Balancing Toner to prep the skin.
  • Apply a thin layer of The One Serum before your retinol. It cushions the retinol and helps the skin stay comfortable.
  • Retinol step: Use either Perfect Change Serum or SKIN CEO not both:
    1. Perfect Change Serum is a potent retinol blend for nighttime use. After The One Serum, follow with 1-2 pumps. Please read my notes here in their entirety to ensure you are using this product properly.
    2. SKIN CEO is an all-trans retinol serum supercharged with plant-derived exosomes. After The One Serum, follow with 1 dropper full.
  • Any retinol can make the skin a little dry, flaky, pink or sensitive when it is first introduced, sometimes for up to 4 weeks. Consistent use allows your skin to adjust and move through this phase so stay consistent.
  • Finish with Dew Moisturizer to replenish hydration and support the barrier overnight.

A note on rotating retinols

Both Perfect Change Serum and SKIN CEO have had a place in Jess’s routine over the years. Rather than alternating them night to night, she uses one formula consistently until the bottle is finished, then rotates in the other.
