A layer of dead surface cells scatters light, so skin reads dull, and it blocks whatever you apply next. Scrubbing first clears that path. The serum then delivers its actives into skin that can receive them. The oil goes on last, sitting on top to slow water loss so the hydration you just delivered actually stays. Reverse the order and the oil simply blocks the serum — which is why body oil on its own has never quite delivered.

Dr. Zoe's Notes on How to Use

Directions:

One: In the shower, massage Gold Sugar Scrub over damp skin in circular motions, working from the neck down. Rinse thoroughly, ideally with a cloth mitt. Once or twice a week is plenty.

Two: Towel dry, then massage Body Serum into the areas that need it most — upper arms, décolletage, thighs, knees — until fully absorbed. Use it daily, not only on scrub days.

Three: While skin is still slightly damp, warm a small amount of Firming Body Oil between your palms and massage it in using circular motions. This seals the serum in — do not skip it, and do not swap the order.

Skip the scrub for 48 hours after waxing, shaving with a fresh blade, or any in-clinic body treatment — exfoliating freshly compromised skin is the fastest route to irritation. Serum and oil on their own are fine in the meantime. The oil is also the step to be generous with on shins, elbows and heels, where skin is thickest and driest.
