Dr. Zoe's Notes on How to Use
Use the mitt. Bare hands are where streaks come from, and stained palms are the giveaway that you self-tan at all.
Dispense onto the mitt rather than onto your skin, then sweep in long overlapping strokes. Work up from ankles to hips, then arms, then use whatever is left on the mitt to blend over knees, elbows, ankles and the backs of your hands. Those areas are drier and will take more color than the skin around them, so they want the lightest pass, not the heaviest.
Rinse it under warm water with a little mild soap right after you use it, then hang it to dry. Rinsing it later, once the product has set, is much harder.
